We are going to take a look inside the Panamby Apartment, a project by Brazilian architectural firm LCAC Arquitetura. A new build apartment from São Paulo with a living area of 137m2. It is a modern and sturdy building with industrial concrete walls and beams, and stone walls. The interior architects have designed a super nice and sleek interior. Have a look further and get inspired by all the fun and original ideas!
A young couple bought the apartment four months before it was delivered. Because the apartment is being delivered as a shell, they have engaged LCAC Arquitetura for the design and furnishing of the interior.
They were just in time to determine the layout of the apartment together with the architects. To make use of the double height, a mezzanine has been built in the living room. In addition, there is a large ensuite bedroom with two individual bathrooms.
Mezzanine with spiral staircase
In order to be able to build the mezzanine, the structure of the building was first analyzed for the correct structuring of the new environment. It was then defined as a metal structure, as it allows for on-site installation and is in keeping with the industrial character of the apartment. Finally, a large black spiral staircase has also been installed, connecting the ground floor with the mezzanine. This staircase has become a real eye-catcher in the room.
Wooden wall coverings
In the living room the concrete beams and walls have been kept visible. Those concrete details are interspersed with sleek white walls and beautiful wooden wall coverings and ceiling coverings. The wood gives the interior a lot of atmosphere and warmth, and it also looks much more luxurious. Especially in combination with the beautiful recessed spotlights in the ceiling.
The large L-shaped lounge sofa is placed in the sitting area under the mezzanine, but continues to the side of the spiral staircase . There where large windows are present and you can enjoy the beautiful view.
In the walls of the wooden wall cladding, the doors have been tightly incorporated, which provide access to the hall, the toilet and the bedrooms. In addition to a guest room, you will also find there the other important living requirement, the creation of a large master bedroom ensuite with two bathrooms. Two bedrooms had to be joined together for this. One bathroom is on the left side of the bed and the other bathroom is on the right.
Tough half open kitchen with cooking island
The kitchen was also another place in the apartment where major changes have taken place. A sturdy modern black kitchen with open wooden wall cupboards at the top was chosen. The kitchen back wall is tiled with nice delft blue patchwork tiles. A large concrete cooking island connects the kitchen with the living room. That way, for those who are cooking, it is socializing with the people in the living room. Next to the workbench, a metal construction has been made to hang the extractor hood.
To keep the kitchen and utility room separate, they created a partition with yellow enamelled cobogos, which is also a work of art in itself.
