Wiping your microwave with a cloth will not remove the odor. Lemons are the solution. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into half a cup of water. Put the water and the squeezed halves in a glass bowl and let it run in the microwave over high heat for 5 minutes. Don’t open the door and let him in for a few more minutes.
